Problems running Jed
---------------------

 1. My screen does not show the purple grid ,
or my screen only has a square on it.I only see one sector.

Jed will not function correctly if your
screen is set to 256 colors. Change your screen setting
to 16 bit or more colors.

2. Can`t open the master template

Make sure you have a jed\jeddata subdirectory and that the
*.TPL,*.Jll,*.JLH files are in it. these are your master lists.
You can override these lists by putting copies in your project
directory.

3. Cannot find the cd insert cd

Insert the other Cd and try again,
wait for the drive light to go out when changing cd`s.

4. Plugins
See the "plugins" link at http://www.darkjedi.com for more information ,
Most plugins should have instructions for thier set up and use included.
As well there is the OLE scripting message board, and more information on the "Documents" link
of darkjedi`s main menu.

Testing related Jed problems
----------------------------

 1. My level will not run

Check the tutor "testing" topic for instructions.
You must edit the name in your episode.jk file the first time.

2. Where do i put the Cogs

As stated in the tutor the cogs go in your project directory
do not make a cog subdirectory.
Jed will create the proper gob directory structure.

3. How do i make my level multiplayer

In episode.jk change the "Type " to 2 , for CTF it`s 8 and single player it is 1

Where to get help
-----------------
1. There are 4 message boards at http://www.darkjedi.com related to Jed and JediKnight editing
These are found on the "msg board" menu item of darkjedi`s site.
Click on the small Jed Icon.
The first Message board is for Jed related questions and general jediknight editing questions
On that page you will find links to a COG related board, One for OLE scripting of plugins for Jed
and the Darkjedi General Discussion board.Post your questions on one of these boards they are
 visited frequently.

We do not answer unsolicited emails. If we require an email we will supply you with an address to use.

2. There is help files in German ,English, and French. and a tutor of sorts available, though it is aimed at the USE
of jed and not on editing JediKnight,

3. On The darkjedi.com site you will find some useful documentation on the "documents " link.
